RICHMOND RENEGADES BOOSTER CLUB 2007-2008 Season

Hello and welcome to the 2007-2008 Richmond Renegades Booster Club. If you’re not already a member, please allow me to extend an open invitation for you to join our organization. What is the Booster Club you ask? What does it do? How much does it cost? Why should I join the Booster Club? Let me take a minute to address some of these commonly asked questions.

What is the Booster Club?
The Booster Club means something different to each member. In a nutshell, the Booster Club provides fans an organized structure in which to support our team. The Club was founded for the express purpose of camaraderie for hockey enthusiasts and a way to support the team that gives us such an exciting pastime. Whether you enjoy the social aspects of getting together with other fans, or the chance to meet the players, coaches and staff, or whether you just want to keep abreast of team happenings…the Booster Club is for you?

What is our mission?
Simple… to promote and support professional ice hockey in the Richmond Metropolitan area.

What does the Booster Club do?
We have FUN! Each season the club hosts Booster-Only events with the players, including a Meet the Player Social, Christmas Party, and an End of Year Banquet. Throughout the season there are meetings (typically with guest speakers from the team), road trips and various fundraisers. Your level of involvement depends entirely upon you. You can choose to attend meetings and socials, or maybe chair an event, or even run for an elected office. There are permanent committees which function on an annual basis and always welcome more help.

How much does it cost?
Dues are kept as low as possible. Our annual dues are $20 for an individual, $25 for a Household Membership of 2 person household, including at minimum, one adult over the age of 18 or $30 for Family Membership of 3 or more person household, including at minimum, one adult over the age of 18.

Why should I join?
This might be the most frequently asked question by prospective members. As with any organization, the “real” membership benefits are the chance to make new friends, get involved with special “booster-only” events, mingle with the team, and have a fantastic time! Remember that the Booster Club is what YOU make it! Come join (or rejoin) today!!

Do I have to do anything?
We want you to have fun, but in raising the money and planning the events with the team, everyone has to do their part and share the load. We encourage everyone to help with committees, including, activities, by-laws, fundraising, membership, newsletter, player hospitality, and player recognition. Your ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
